Financing Options
Good Dogs Aren't Always Easy. Good Training Isn't Cheap. Let's Talk Options.
Quality dog training should be accessible. And quality training is an investment.
At Brighter Days Dog Training LLC, we work with dogs and owners facing real-world challenges. Whether you're navigating reactivity, aggression, a chaotic multi-dog household, or simply want a dog you can confidently enjoy living with, meaningful behavior change takes time, skill, and an individualized approach.
We're not going to pretend that professional training is inexpensive. We're also not going to assume that a big upfront payment is the only way to make it happen.
That's why we offer third-party financing options, flexible payment arrangements for qualifying programs, and discounted bundled packages to help you find a path forward that works for you and your dog.
Because investing in a better life with your dog shouldn't feel out of reach.
Why Good Training Isn't Cheap
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all protocols, cookie-cutter solutions, or pretending every dog can be helped with the same five exercises.
Every dog brings their own genetics, history, environment, emotional state, and learning challenges to the table. Your training plan should reflect that.
So, what are you actually investing in?
Individualized training plans.
Your dog isn't a template. We tailor our approach to your dog's needs, your goals, and the realities of your everyday life.
Continued education and professional development.
Dog behavior is complex, and our education doesn't stop when we leave the classroom. We invest in learning, refining our skills, and expanding the tools we have available to help our clients.
Professional equipment and resources.
Quality training requires appropriate equipment, training tools, and the knowledge to use them responsibly and effectively.
Real-world results, not just rehearsed obedience.
We want skills that hold up outside the training room—in your home, on your walks, around other dogs, and in the situations that actually matter to you.
A commitment to the whole picture.
Behavior isn't just about commands. We consider emotional state, arousal, motivation, environment, and the relationship between you and your dog. Sometimes that means addressing the underlying issues before we ever worry about a perfect heel.
You're investing in experience, thoughtful decision-making, and a plan built around your individual dog—not a generic solution pulled off the shelf.
Quality Training. Flexible Ways to Pay.
We understand that a significant investment doesn't always fit neatly into a household budget. We don't want the upfront cost to be the only thing standing between you and getting help.
We offer several ways to manage the cost of training. Availability depends on the program, the payment method, and individual eligibility.
All Pet Card
Need help covering the cost of your dog's training? All Pet Card offers a financing option for eligible pet-related expenses, giving qualifying clients another way to manage their investment including no interest if paid in 6 or 12 months on qualifying purchases.
Financing is subject to approval and the provider's terms. Review your financing agreement carefully to understand applicable interest, promotional periods, fees, and repayment requirements.
Afterpay
Prefer to split your payments into smaller amounts? We also offer Afterpay for eligible purchases, allowing qualifying clients to divide their payments according to Afterpay's terms.
Purchase limits, availability, payment schedules, and approval are determined by Afterpay. Clients are responsible for meeting their scheduled payments.
Flexible In-House Installment Plans
Not every training program fits neatly into a standard financing option. For select programs, we may be able to arrange an in-house installment plan that allows you to spread out your investment while keeping your training moving forward.
Depending on your program and your dog's needs, installment arrangements may be available for:
Private training packages.
Household Harmony programs.
Hybrid training programs.
Board & Train programs.
Every in-house installment plan must be approved in advance, with payment amounts, schedules, and applicable deadlines established before training begins.
How do our installment plans work?
Our installment plans are designed to make budgeting easier while keeping payments and services aligned.
Training services are provided as they are paid for—not in anticipation of future payments.
For example, if you purchase a 10-lesson package and arrange to pay for it in two installments, you may prepay for your first five lessons and schedule those lessons as agreed. The remaining five lessons become available once the remaining balance has been paid.
We do not provide unpaid lessons or training services against a balance that is expected to be paid at a later date.
For Board & Train and other eligible programs where services are delivered over an extended period, the agreed payment schedule will establish which services or stages of the program can proceed as payments are received. For Board & Train, the full program balance must be paid before your dog is released back to you.
This approach allows us to offer payment flexibility without requiring you to pay for an entire program upfront, while ensuring that services already delivered are covered by payment.
Save With Bundled Training Packages
Consistency matters. Training is most effective when we have the opportunity to build skills, practice them in different environments, and help you maintain progress at home.
That's why our bundled training packages offer discounted pricing compared with purchasing eligible services individually.
Bundling services can help you get more comprehensive support while making the most of your training budget. We'll help you determine which package best fits your dog's needs, your goals, and your household.
Ask us about available packages and discounts when discussing your training plan.
We're Not Selling Sit, Down, and Stay. We're Selling a Better Life With Your Dog.
Let's be honest: you can learn how to teach a dog to sit on YouTube for free. You can find videos demonstrating leash skills, recall, place, and just about every obedience command imaginable.
So why invest in professional training?
Because knowing how to teach a dog a behavior and knowing how to live successfully with a dog are two very different things.
We're not here to sell you a collection of obedience commands you could learn from a video. We're here to help you understand your dog, communicate effectively, navigate challenges, and build a relationship that works in the real world.
Our coaching programs go beyond the mechanics of training. We teach you about learning theory, motivation, reinforcement, canine communication, emotional states, and the everyday interactions that influence behavior. We want you to understand the why behind what we do, not just memorize a list of instructions.
We want you to approach training with curiosity and an open mind. Instead of just asking, "What do I do to make my dog stop doing this?" we want you to start asking:
Why is my dog doing this? What might be motivating the behavior, and what information am I missing?
What am I teaching my dog right now? Not just during a formal training session, but in the thousands of little interactions we have every day.
What can I change to help my dog succeed? How can I adjust the environment, my communication, or my approach to get a better outcome?
How does what I've learned apply to this new situation? Can I use the same principles to work through a challenge we haven't specifically practiced?
These aren't just questions for professional trainers. They're the foundation of becoming a thoughtful, effective dog owner.
Learn to See, Not Just Do.
We don't want you leaving a session thinking, "Sarah told me to do this, so I guess I'll do it."
We want you to understand why you're doing it, what you're looking for, and how to recognize when your approach needs to change.
Because the real magic doesn't happen only during your weekly lesson or when your dog is working perfectly in a controlled training session. It happens when you start applying what you've learned to everyday life: how you reinforce behavior at home, how you navigate walks, how you manage excitement, and how you respond when things don't go according to plan.
Your dog doesn't stop learning when your lesson ends. Every walk, every meal, every greeting at the door, and every interaction at home presents opportunities to reinforce behavior and build habits.
You get out of training what you're willing to put into it.
We'll bring the experience, coaching, tools, and an individualized training plan. Your job is to practice, stay consistent, and learn to recognize the training opportunities that exist throughout your day.
When you do that, you're building more than obedience. You're developing the skills to understand your dog, make better decisions, and navigate challenges with confidence.
The Goal Isn't to Need Us Forever.
Most things we spend money on eventually wear out, break, or need replacing. Quality dog training is different. Done right, it gives you skills and knowledge you can carry with you for years—and potentially for every dog who comes into your life afterward.
Our goal isn't to make you dependent on a trainer every time something goes wrong. It's to help you understand your dog, recognize what's driving their behavior, communicate clearly, and develop the skills to work through challenges with confidence.
With the right instruction, consistent practice, and a willingness to put in the work, you may eventually become the kind of dog owner who can successfully navigate many training challenges on your own.
You might even find that when it's time to bring home your next dog, you already have the knowledge and experience to get started on the right foot without needing to hire a trainer again.
Will every dog be easy? Absolutely not. Genetics, temperament, history, and individual behavior all matter. And sometimes, even experienced handlers need a second set of eyes or professional support. There's no shame in that.
But the knowledge you gain doesn't disappear when your training program ends.
We want you to enjoy taking your dog places, welcoming people into your home, going for walks without dreading every encounter, and relaxing together without constantly managing the next crisis.
We're not just teaching obedience. We're helping you develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to build a lifestyle where you can genuinely enjoy the dog you live with.
That's an investment that can pay dividends for a lifetime.
Not Sure Which Option Is Right for You?
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Tell us about your dog, the challenges you're experiencing, and the kind of support you're looking for. We'll walk you through the appropriate training options, explain any available package discounts, and discuss the payment arrangements that may be available for your program.
We can't promise that every program will fit every budget, and we won't compromise the quality of our work to compete on price. But we're happy to explore the available options with you.
Your dog deserves thoughtful, individualized training. Let's figure out how to make it happen.
