The Training Consultation

Every dog—and every situation—is different, which is why I offer two consultation options designed to meet you where you are.

Free Phone Consultation: This option is perfect for owners dealing with more straightforward training concerns—things like basic obedience, mild behavior issues, or general guidance on where to start. We’ll talk through what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you’d like to achieve. From there, I can point you in the right direction and outline next steps.
In-Person Consultation: For more complex behavior challenges—like reactivity, aggression, or severe anxiety—an in-person consultation is often the better fit. There is a fee associated with this option to account for travel and time, but it allows me to see your dog’s behavior firsthand, in their normal environment. That context can make a huge difference in understanding what’s really going on. In some cases, I may also ask you to send videos of the behavior ahead of time so I can come in prepared.
What to Expect: Consultations are not typically training demonstrations. Instead, this is our time to dig into the details: your dog’s history, the problems you’re facing, your goals, and what realistic outcomes look like. We’ll go over everything in depth and build a clear, structured training plan, including expectations and an estimated timeline.
The goal is simple—make sure we’re aligned from the start, so you know exactly what the process will look like and how we’ll get there together.
